SkyLine Tools Imaging proudly announces the highly anticipated release of ImageLib Corporate Suite 5.0 for Delphi 5. The updates in this newest version of Corporate Suite were a result of monitoring client needs. Features of the newest version include:

• Upgraded memory for the larger images produced by the newer digital cameras.

• A new features package that allows annotations to be customized by the developer.
  
  
• A magnifying glass feature which allows the user to zoom into a specific area of the image rather than zooming into the entire page. It also lets the user move the magnifying glass around on the screen, and continues to magnify only the area under the "glass".

In addition to the above, this robust toolkit still contains all the great features from the previous versions, like anti-aliasing, multi-page TIFF files, and over 40 image manipulation effects and filters.

DOCUMENT IMAGING

The Suite is well known for its comprehensive TIFF package and offers superior scanning capabilities.

Document imaging features are:

SCANNING

Those who scan black and white text documents will find the CCITIFF 3 or CCITIFF 4 to be a most valuable tool indeed. This file format stores only the black text or lines, and ignores the white background. Thus a typical 8.5x11 page would have a CCITIFF 4 file size of appx 35KB, as opposed to a JPEG file of maybe 3MB or more. This format is used for multipage TIFFs as well.

The ImageLib Corporate Suite allows users to scan directly into their application, bypassing the scanners' interface. This component has been field tested on numerous scanners with flat bed single page scanners, automatic document feeders and duplex scanners. SkyLine's Twain technology enables the fastest Twain scanning on the market (refer to SkyLine's scanner web page for examples of various scanner speeds).

ANNOTATIONS

Annotation capabilities allow users to mark up images on-screen and save them separately or to burn them into the document. The user can add arrows, underline text, highlight areas, etc., and all in color!

Anti-aliasing takes lossy, difficult to read documents and adds black pixels to the text and lines so they become sharper and easier to read. The ImageLib Corporate Suite includes seven algorithms for anti-aliasing, all created in-house. The user has the option to set the anti-aliasing to be done on the scanner, or after the scan when the reader views it. To see a demonstration of this impressive effect, go to /imagelib/antialias.htm. This robust package contains seven different Scale-to-Gray options: five grayscale and two anti-aliasing.

COLOR IMAGING

The twenty file formats supported by the Suite include: PCD (Photo CD), TIFF CCITT 3 and 4, Multipage TIFFs, Packbits, TIFF LZW, AVI, WAV, MID, Animated GIF, Transparent GIF, Progressive JPG and PNG.

Equipped with forty image correction, manipulation and deformation tools, the Suite offers forty filters that allow easy handling of color image files. Correction effects such as brightening, contrast, color reduction and rotation provide vast improvement on dull, difficult to read images. Also included are items such as hue and saturation, edge detection, inverting and sharpening. The ImageLib Corporate Suite offers a total of sixteen deformation effects and thirteen image correction filters.

The Zoom, Pan and Scroll features offer precise control when moving across large images. A thumbnail manager allows the user to preview images before selecting with a simple mouse click. Just when you think it's all too good to be true, SkyLine has added SkyDocImage as an add-on to the ImageLib Corporate Suite. It's a fully functional end-user application, with the source code included! Oh, and did we mention it's Royalty Free?
