SkyLine Tools Imaging announces the Barcode Recognition Suite 2.0, with a downloadable trial version now available. The Barcode Recognition toolkit comes in versions compatible with Delphi, Visual Basic, Visual C++ and Borland C++Builder. (An Active X will soon be available.)
Position Recognition Now

It is no longer necessary to identify the position of the Barcode. The Suite
will automatically detect where the bar code is on the page and read it from
that location. Not only that, but recognition of multiple bar codes on a page
is also possible.
The proprietary algorithm developed by the SkyLine Tools Imaging engineers is based on the fuzzy logic approach in image recognition. This approach solves the problem of identifying barcode type and will decode a barcode value in a fraction of a second. The user needs only to define the graphical image of the barcode as a graphical file (BMP, TIFF, JPEG or any other supported format) or as a DIB handle, or HBitmap, or HDC. The powerful new barcode module will do the rest.

The Barcode Suite comes as a DLL which interfaces for Visual Basic, Delphi, Visual C++ and Borland C++ Builder. These interfaces include five calls to the DLL.
Barcode recognition is always done from a black and white one bit image. If you have a color image, it must be converted to a black and white image. This can be done with the ImageLib Toolkits.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended to use ImageLib Corporate Suite with the
Barcode Suite, but ImageLib Corporate Suite is not required. But the Barcode
Suite does need to be accompanied by an imaging library that reads Black and
White TIFFs in order for the Barcode Suite to work. If you do not have such
a library, then download the Corporate Suite Active X Trial (for Visual Basic
or Microsoft Visual C++) or the Corporate Suite 4 Trial (for Delphi or C++Builder).
